Ron Moore and team consistently deliver excellent entertainment. This also included the classic series from 1978. The first episode in the final 10-episode arc of Battlestar Galactica, Sometimes a Great Notion, was exactly that. It aired on television on Sci Fi and Space in the United States and Canada respectively on Januand on Sky One in the United Kingdom on January 20, 2009.
After the work, Kesey gave up publishing novels. The story was set in a logging community and centered on two brothers and their bitter rivalry in the family.

'Sometimes a Great Notion' is the eleventh episode in the fourth season of the reimagined Battlestar Galactica. Kesey's next novel, Sometimes a Great Notion (1964), appeared two years later and was also made into a film, this time directed by Paul Newman. In 2014, we watched and discussed one episode per week, starting from the very beginning. Meanwhile, after leaving Kobol, true-humans fly away, and land on the 12 colonies - Caprica, Gemenon, etc. This is what we see in 'Sometimes a Great Notion'. Scouting the planet reveals that there is no life except plants. Kobol's Human-cylons invent their own metal-cylons, who rebel, and destroy Earth Classic.
